As most of you already know, before joining Play, Sanne had worked a lot with E-Type. Here is a video of an unplugged version of “True Believer” from Nyhetsmorgon in 2007.
Thank you so much Edd for uploading this video!
You can also click here to see Emelie and Sanne perform a song together with E-Type on a Russian TV show in 2009. It’s great to see some of the work the girls have done before Play!
Thank you all for your replies the past few days about the fifth song from Under My Skin that should be considered for Play‘s new EP or album! The girls have now narrowed it down, but still have to make a final decision. Also, you can now watch the final parts of Anaïs‘ interview.
Thanks so much to everyone who responded to our question about a final song from UMS to be used on our upcoming American EP. While every song had its supporters it appears the favorites, from which we will be choosing, will be Under My Skin, Girls, and Famous. Each song has something to offer. We are aware of Big Time Rush, and we agree that is an issue, but Famous will not be our single and it has been our most recognizeable song the past year, so it is hard to leave the song behind entirely by leaving it off the EP. As for Girls, we are well aware that on the internet more than twice as many people have listened to that song as any other song off the album, and we can’t ignore the fact that means people really like the song. As for Under My Skin, we will tell you it is a personal favorite of ours and from your responses the past couple of days it seems many of you like it as well. This will be a difficult decision. We wanted you to know the factors we are considering in making the decision.
We are continuing our television efforts and hope to have an update for you soon. We thought in the meantime you would enjoy seeing the second and third installments of the interview with Anais which occurred last December. She covers a wide range of issues related to Play, its past, its present and its future.
A few months ago, Anaïs was interviewed for about a half hour on camera by Jeff Timmons from 98 Degrees. Below is the first part of the interview. She talks about the formation of Play, some things the girls went through, and more. Hope you all find this interesting and enjoy!
Please feel free to leave your thoughts and comments on this video!
I’m so happy we’re getting to see more of Anais, Sanne, and Emelie. Hope everyone enjoys this great video reel of the girls that was put together!
We hope you will enjoy seeing a video “reel” which we filmed this past Fall. It was produced by Erich Recker who is one of the creators and executive producers of the Criss Angel show “Mind Freaks.” Part of it was filmed in Hollywood and the rest was filmed in Sweden, mostly on the set of the “Swedish Idol” television series. As most of you know, Laila, Anders and Andreas are the judges on the Swedish version of your American Idol show and the set should look familiar since it is very close to what the American set looks like. Unfortunately Emelie was not with us in Los Angeles where most of the interview scenes were filmed so there is not as much of her in this reel as we wanted. Still, we had alot of fun doing it. For the interviews in LA Jeff Timmons from 98 Degrees was asking us the questions. We have been using this reel for some of our marketing efforts and thus far people seem to like it. But you guys are the experts so we want to know what you think!
By the way, we shot more footage with a production company called DHX Media to do a separate reel for MTV which was delivered to MTV earlier this week. That reel is very different, as most of it was filmed outdoors in the bright sunshine in the Beverly Hills area and the talking scenes are all “in character” to demonstrate to MTV that we can act and what our characters might sound like. We hope to share that reel with you in the near future. And of course we hope MTV likes it.
Love, Anais, Sanne and Emelie

Thanks for all the great suggestions for cover songs — you guys are really amazing. We are going to take some time to listen to the songs we are not familiar with and once any decisions are made we’ll let you know.
We have posted another song on youtube, and the link is below. This one is Too Lost In You. It was performed at the home of David Von Ancken the morning after we arrived in LA recently. As you can see it was a beautiful day and we were in his backyard where he made us a great breakfast and we discussed business. David is a writer and director who works on Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl and Californication. He also wrote and is set to direct the new movie Eminem is going to star in soon that you may have read about. He asked us to sing a couple of songs for him and this is one of them. We had a fun morning with David, his manager Seth, producer Ned Nalle (who is a former president of Universal Television) and Bruce Sandzimier who is head of post production for the ABC television network. We had a great time that morning and hope you enjoy this version of Too Lost In You. By the way, we noticed a few of you suggested we do an actual recording of the song as our cover — an idea we certainly will consider.
Love, Emelie, Sanne, and Anais

Welcome to Play Mania, a fan site dedicated to the former members of Swedish pop group Play.
I started this web site in 2003 in support of Play, which was a group originally comprised of four talented young girls from Sweden. They first disbanded in 2005, but since the girls had solo careers going on, I didn't want to shut the site and stop supporting them. I kept Play-Mania up and running (as a blog) because of that reason. The group reformed in 2009 for a short time, and now all of the girls have officially gone separate ways.
