Rosanna is featured in the latest issue of ASOS Women’s Magazine! You can virtually look through the magazine here. Rosanna is on page 76. I typed up the article (below).

Groomed for stardom since her teens, Rosanna proves there’s chart life beyond rocking with Beyonce.
You may not recognize the face now, but Rosanna, 22, has already had a notable career in the US with girl band Play. Now she’s setting her sights on solo success, with recent single, Waterfall, and her debut album in the pipeline.
I started working in the music industry when I was 13. I was in the girl group Play and we were signed to Sony in the US. I lived there for five years, we sold like a million records and were touring all through my teenage years.
Mathew Knowles, Beyonce’s father, was our manager so we were on tour with Destiny’s Child and were very close to them. We learnt everything from them and it was very, very inspiring.
Play has just restarted but I decided I wanted to do this instead. I was 13 when I joined the band and a lot of things happened. I just want to do my own thing and write all my songs. I like to make a lot of decisions and have a lot of things to say.
I got the singing and performing bug from my mother. She worked at a concert hall so instead of cartoons and early nights, I followed her there and saw everyone from Tina Turner to the Rolling Stones. I always felt close to music and it never felt like a hard thing to do.
My style is rocky but with a feminine and sophisticated side to it. I love Patti Smith, Erin Wasson and Edie Sedgwikk. I have a lot of Acne and Alexander Wang clothes, but I like to arrive in a new city and find the nearest second-hand shop. I buy lots of vintage.
I am very influenced by people around me. I always carry around a notebook and take notes.
I love Yeaeh Yeahs, Fleetwood Mac and Nina Simone – strong female singers. I’m also a bit obsessed with TV on the Radio.
Music shouldn’t just be beautiful, it should have a bit of ugliness too. A lot of people say my songs are quite dark but they have a lot of hope to them.
I am trying to make big, emotional pop songs that you can cry and dance to. I want my music to be electronic but with an organic vibe.
