Getting to Know Emelie, Play’s Newest Addition!

Emelie has sent this message (and picture) with some more information about herself, so we can get to know her a little bit better! It was really nice of her to do this, thanks Emelie!

I am so grateful for all the warm messages which have been left on Play Mania this past week that I had to write and tell you so myself. It means more to me than I can ever express. I also want to tell you some things about me so you will know me better. My full name is Emelie Catharina Leontine Norenberg. I have one sister (Amanda) and one brother (Oscar), and we grew up in a suburb of Stockholm known as Taby. My favorite color is green and my favorite food is mediterranean. When I am not singing I enjoy writing, skiing, snowboarding, surfing, photography, and yoga. I learned to play the piano (by ear) when I was seven. I was trained in classical music for years. Eventually I auditioned for and was accepted to attend Stockholm’s best music conservatory school,”Rytmus.” I also lived in London for a time where I studied music. So as you can see, music has been a big part of my life since I was a little girl. I have many musical influences from the Beatles to Kings of Leon, Alicia Keys, Rihanna and of course some of our great Swedish artists like Robyn. I love to travel and even worked as a flight attendant for a short period of time. I always try to be open and honest with people, and I am adventurous. Another thing you should know is I am my own harshest critic — I demand alot of myself and am never satisfied with my performance and always strive to do better the next time. I am glad some of you found the videos of Sanne and me performing with E-Type — we had so much fun on tour together. I have made a living in the music world but nothing comes close to the joy of being in Play. You have my promise that I will always give the very best I have to bring you great music and exciting performances for many years ahead. And I can’t wait to meet as many of you as possible in the group’s future journeys.

Love, Emelie

Emelie’s Message, “For me it is a dream come true.”

Emelie is really touched by your sweet and welcoming comments! She’s sent a message for everyone. She sounds like a wonderful girl, and I’m so excited for us to get to know her.

Hello to all of the wonderful Play fans.

This is Emelie, and I wanted everyone to know how excited I am to be a member of Play. For me it is a dream come true. I love to sing and perform and now I get to do it with my closest friend (Sanne) and with someone I have known and admired for a long time (Anais). Before we came to Los Angeles recently I also spoke with my friend Rosanna Munter who gave me great encouragement which I appreciated. It was hard work with much pressure but I loved every minute of it. The trip was unbelievable, with so many incredible meetings and endless possibilities. Plus it was so warm and beautiful in LA — I am not used to wearing shorts in January (Stockholm is very cold and dark at this time of the year). I want to say something to you from my heart: I am aware it is sad to many people when someone leaves a group, especially someone like Fanny whom I too have known for years. I will try my very hardest to prove myself to you and to bring you the same joy you have always received from watching and listening to Play in the past. Singing is my life, something that brings me pleasure and allows me to express myself and connect with the audiance. I love to travel and meet new people, and I hope to meet as many of you as possible in the near future. I will do everything in my power to continue the legacy and greatness that is the Play so many of you have grown up with over the years.

Love, Emelie

I’m incredibly happy to see that so many of you are so excited to continue to follow Play on this new journey, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that many great things are to come ♥

Play Welcomes Emelie Norenberg!

Please welcome Emelie Norenberg to the group as Play continues to move forward and give it their all. Here is a message from the girls and a new beautiful picture!

We would like to introduce you to the newest member of Play, Emelie Norenberg. Emelie and Sanne have been best friends for many years, and Emelie is also a close personal friend of Anais and Rosie. Fanny decided she did not want to be in the group anymore and we were very fortunate Emelie was there to step in because as you know we were in the middle of so many important things relative to our return to the U.S. Emelie has done an amazing job during all our meetings and we know if you give her a chance you will love her as we do. We are in the middle of many exciting discussions right now in the television and music worlds which we will tell you about soon. We hope you will go on this journey with us which starts right now. We will be updating regularly and are working on our own sites which will be up soon.

Love, Play

I wish Fanny well with her career, and I will continue to update about her, as I do with all of the girls. It was amazing seeing her working alongside Anais and Sanne. Each girl who has ever been a part of Play has been an amazingly talented young lady! Welcome Emelie!
