Elodie and producer Stellar Project will be releasing a single on June 21st, 2011 called “Strong,” which features the vocals of Emelie. She’s going by the name Emelie Leontine.

Glen you said one girl was saying things that made the other girls question her commitment? I would like to know which girl was saying those things. So if you could fill in that gap I would really appreciate it. Especially since the girls are clearly not going to say any thing to us. It kind of feels like they might never say anything to us ever again about anything.
Hollei, I will not take sides between the girls but I can say it was Anais who felt her commitment to the group was greater than the others, and that included Fanny when Fanny was still around.
I think anais has more than proved her commitment to this group.. and I am grateful to her. GLEN- did the girls not sign some sort of group agreement saying they had a certain time friend they needed to commit themselves?
It was structured that their contract was with Laila which I was led to believe was long term when I got involved When I did my contract with Laila to be co-manager, I didn’t realize her commitment from the girls was only until April 2011. Laila only told me after Fanny quit that she had trusted the girls and didn’t want to tie them down to a long term deal. But you must realize, even if there was a long term contract, you can’t legally force someone to work for you if they don’t want to. You can prevent them from working for anyone else during the term of the agreement, but you can’t force them to work for you even with a contract.

I think the more questions you have and the more digging you all do, the more upset everyone will come. Play is over, sadly, but cherish the memories. You guys are just asking to pick sides and get angry and cause disagreements.
i don’t think its a matter of getting ‘upset’ as much as trying to find closure… these non-answered questions leave holes in our brains; it’s worse when some ppl know what’s happened (& say they know what’s happened) but won’t tell. it causes too much speculation and, basically, just sucks!
i appreciate glen sharing this info because it helps me better understand the girls (and the logistics) of PLAY.
btw, i’m STILL wondering what happened between lalaine and hilary duff… ?

Glen has been kind enough to be the only source of information about the split. It’s natural for people to wonder and ask questions especially as everyone was left confused and grasping for straws.
It is a sensitive topic but overall, it seems that PLAY fans have expressed their frustrations in a mature way and are being supportive of one another.
I wish we could buy Play’s music videos on itunes here in the states. Does anyone have a idea on how to make that happen? Cuz going on itunes and requesting them isn’t working. =(
I am just helping people find closure, myself included. There are things I don’t understand myself and never will, but what I know I am happy to share so long as it does not embarrass the girls which I would never do. I attended a meeting yesterday with the television people. They are, of course, disappointed that Play is no longer willing to do this but they are still excited to go ahead and pitch the concept to the CW Network. The pitch will be in August, probably in the second half of the month. The producers are all quite enthused, and we are working to tweak the story so it is as good as possible. These are big players, and the CW Network came to them for ideas and this is one they informally said they like. That said, as you all know networks hear many pitches and few ever sell, so it is right to be cautious and skeptical. But the way this last year has gone for me the network will want to proceed, I’ll have to convince Play to try to be in it, they’ll say no, and I’ll have to be committed to a mental hospital. We’ll just have to see.
Does anyone know what’s happening with Anna? She’s been counting down days and has said the madness is about to begin.

I’m not sure I want to be a fan of Play anymore. This situation with them breaking up is so messed up that I’m not sure it’s worth it. And everytime glen comments on here I feel like I have more questions than answers. If the girls did become a part of this tv show I can’t say I would watch it. I don’t even listen to their music anymore. IDK. At the begining of all this if the girls had come to their senses and gotten back together I would have been all for it. But now, especially since Anais has left the music world, I’m not sure I want to keep doing this (checking the site, listening to their music, saying I’m a fan, ect) and I’m not sure I want to stop doing those things ethier. IDK. I’m very upset by this whole thing and I’m not happy with the girls at all.
I totally understand how you feel. I can’t listen to the Under My Skin record… I can’t even listen to the self-titled. I really wish it was as easy as “remembering the good times” but I can’t help but be resentful of these girls that I really and truly looked up to. It almost feels as if an older sister left home without leaving a note.

Hi Glen, i wonder how Laila is doing. how is she? i’m friends with Laila on FB. i don’t know if you still work with her. Laila hasn’t send me a email in a while. we have some contact. do you know that Laila is busy with a new girl group? are you working with the girl group of laila to? i hope Laila is doing well. if you see her, tell her i miss her and i think about her. and send her some love from me. Laila always believed in play. i’m still sad and a bit upset play has broke up. but i have been able to give it a place. althoug reading all the questions and answers didn’t help. for me..sometimes it’s better not to know what happend. but that doesn’t count for everyone. i do miss play!
