Elodie and producer Stellar Project will be releasing a single on June 21st, 2011 called “Strong,” which features the vocals of Emelie. She’s going by the name Emelie Leontine.

Emelie is probably the 3rd best vocalist PLAY has ever been associated with. Right under Janet & Faye.
It’s a shame that Play had to come to an end, so quickly and so (maybe not) unexpectedly. Whatever their true reasons behind the split, it would have happened eventually as the opinions and dreams of 3 separate people would take shape. I’m not disappointed or upset like I was when it first happened. That’s just life, and I’m okay with that. Personally, while I always believed Play could be successful with the right management and marketing, but I also knew they weren’t going to last more than a few years because the girls were getting into their middle 20s and weren’t teens anymore without a life plan. Today, I’m only interested in following Sanne and Rosanna if their (presumed) solo careers ever take off. One of the best things about the new Play was being introduced to Sanne’s amazing voice and music. It’s a shame that it looks like Anais probably won’t return to music again, but at nearly 24 years old, maybe it’s for the best. I think she wants to settle down and figure out her life for herself. I wish her the best. Also, does anyone know what’s up with Rosanna’s music? I just realized that this month marks the one year anniversary of her first single! Anyone know when (if ever) we will get a 2nd single or album?
i agree, sanne is such a great vocalist. very cool that e-type let her re-join, although i really believe sanne doesn’t belong in the background. i really loved her stuff with ghost vs sanne.
it’s also really interesting to see a bunch of girl-groups crop up… i just keep thinking, “that could have been play!!” so frustrating. the girl-group is definitely coming back and i feel like the girls were SO talented they would have done very well. they were different than all the tons of make up, not so much clothing type of groups i’ve been seeing on the tv lately.
I also agree that Sanne doesn’t belong in the background. She’s amazing.
Hi Jill!! :) What had happened on Tuesday when it was supposed to be released was that the wrong radio edit of the song was released…Elodie was singing the radio edit of the song (the demo I guess you could say) instead of Emelie. The club version was correct with Emelie singing. They took the radio edit with Elodie singing out of the market… On Wednesday, they released the correct radio edit with Emelie singing…that’s when I put the songs on YouTube…Sorry for confusing all of you :( …Stellar Project are famous producers who have made a lot of great music of the dance genre…if it were not for Stellar Project the song would be acapella…& Emelie sang the vocals…that’s why it’s called Stellar Project featuring Emelie Norenberg…Elodie wrote the song and the melody (the notes to the vocals)
Correction: I just found out Stellar Project is one person, a guy, but he is a famous producer for the dance genre & without him the song would be acapella….but since the song features Emelie’s vocals, that’s why it’s Stellar Project featuring Emelie Norenberg.
