Laila posted a blog about how she has been training with the girls, and getting a showcase ready for their Los Angeles trip!
“Today I have been training with Play. We are putting together a showcase for the 24 / 8 it’s off to Los Angeles. We will be meeting there with a TV production company who’s interested in doing a series with the girls which is really exciting. MTV and VH1 in the U.S. will be there along with the production company to look at their showcase.”

They look very cute. I like how Sanne and Fanny look sassy and Anaïs has a huge smile on her face :p
It’s nice that MTV and VH1 will be present at their showcase, but I really can’t see either of those networks picking their show up. PLAY’s image and sound are not what they look for in an artist/group at all. If it does get picked up I am pretty sure it will be by Nickelodeon or Disney as their music is much more similar to artists seen/heard on those networks than on MTV/VH1. I would have expected Nickelodeon and Disney to be there to see the showcase too since they’ll probably have better luck with them (and the girls are now finishing up a summer tour with Nickelodeon). Lycka till to the girls though!
Oh and I wonder if there will be any camera crew there taping their showcase…. Wishful thinking maybe? Haha! I would love to see their showcase! :D

Is PLAY back together?
I don’t think MTV and VH1 are going to be there to look into picking up their show. They’re probably just going to be there to see if Play will get promotion on those channels, like their music video being played and things like that.
At least the way I read it, that’s how I see it.

Yes Play is back together! Woop! They’ve been back together for a long while now with a new member named Sanne. She’s a great addition to the group. Play is Fanny (Faye), Anais, and Sanne now.
